Smart Gilas vs. Jordan Final Score 72-64 Philippines Won 

Smart Gilas Pilipinas showed the Asian crowd that they were indeed one of the team to beat in the 2011 FIBA Asia Mens Basketball Championship. The Philippine Team defeated Jordan with a final score at 72-64 to start their campaign in the second round with a morale booster win.

One of the surprises of the game between Jordan and the Philippines was the clarification of eligibility of Filipino-American Lassiter and Lutz to finally suit up for the team. FIBA had already approved that the two Filipinos were eligible to play but it was not cleared to the FIBA Asia officials.

Before the start of the game, the coaching staff were so confused why is it that Lassiter and Lutz were still not eligible but after a call from the highest FIBA officials, the eligibility of the two Filipinos were finally cleared and the two were able to contribute for the team.
